Apple Gears Up for WWDC 2025: A Week of Software Surprises, Streaming Starts June 9

All eyes are on Cupertino as Apple gets ready to kick off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 9. The five-day event, held at the company’s Apple Park headquarters in California, begins with a keynote address from CEO Tim Cook at 10 a.m. PT (that’s 10:30 p.m. IST for viewers in India). As always, Apple’s made sure the world can tune in, with the keynote streaming live on its official website, YouTube channel, Developer app, and Apple TV app.

Now, if you’re waiting on flashy new hardware—don’t hold your breath. This year’s WWDC seems to be more about refining the software that powers Apple’s ecosystem. Expect deep dives into updates across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. The big theme? Artificial intelligence. Apple’s been a bit behind in the AI race, and it’s widely expected they’ll use this event to push forward their "Apple Intelligence" vision—something they teased back in 2024. Whether it lives up to the hype? We'll soon find out.

Once the keynote wraps up, the Platforms State of the Union session will kick off at 1 p.m. PT (1:30 a.m. IST), where Apple plans to unpack the technical nuts and bolts of the upcoming software changes. This session usually flies under the radar for casual viewers, but for developers, it’s where the real meat is.

Over the course of the week, Apple will run more than 100 technical sessions, offering developers a closer look at new tools, frameworks, and design principles. Participants in the Apple Developer and Enterprise programs will also have the chance to connect directly with Apple engineers through online labs and one-on-one consultations—a rare and valuable opportunity.

And it’s not all business. The company will also welcome winners of the Swift Student Challenge to Apple Park. Fifty standout young developers have been invited to experience the heart of Apple HQ for three days, an initiative that continues to spotlight fresh talent in the coding world.

In short, WWDC 2025 might not bring new gadgets, but it’s shaping up to be a pivotal moment in Apple’s evolving software and AI strategy.

Nothing Phone 3 Set for July 1 Launch, Major Design Shift Sparks Buzz

The next chapter in Nothing’s smartphone journey is almost here. The London-based tech company, led by Carl Pei, has announced that the Nothing Phone 3 will officially launch on July 1 in India and other global markets. And while the official debut is still a few weeks away, a fresh teaser has already stirred up conversation — and controversy — among fans. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the company offered a sneak peek at the Phone 3's rear design with the phrase “ultra-precise engineering.” The teaser shows a partial view of the back panel — featuring a new dual-tone finish and some distinct etchings. But here’s the real shocker: the iconic Glyph interface is gone. Yes, you read that right. Nothing is moving away from the glowing LED pattern that made its phones instantly recognizable. This design change has caught many off guard, considering the Glyph lights had become a signature feature since the brand’s debut. For those unfamiliar, the Glyph interface was more than ...

Vivo Prepping Sleek New Y-Series Phone for India, May Feature Curved AMOLED Display Under ₹15,000

After rolling out the Vivo Y19 5G in India just last month, the company seems to be quietly working on another addition to its Y-series lineup. While the official name hasn’t been confirmed yet, early leaks hint at a new budget-friendly phone that could make a splash—especially with a curved AMOLED display, a feature that’s still pretty rare in this price range. According to a report from 91mobiles, which cites unnamed industry insiders, Vivo is planning to introduce a new Y-series smartphone that may claim the title of the slimmest device with a 3D curved AMOLED screen under ₹15,000. If that turns out to be true, it’s a bold move that could give the brand an edge in India’s increasingly competitive mid-range segment. A few design details have started to emerge. The phone is rumored to come in three colours: festive gold, freestyle white, and nebula purple. The freestyle white version, interestingly, might sport a distinctive rear panel pattern. The device is also tipped to be just 7.4...
