In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the company offered a sneak peek at the Phone 3's rear design with the phrase “ultra-precise engineering.” The teaser shows a partial view of the back panel — featuring a new dual-tone finish and some distinct etchings. But here’s the real shocker: the iconic Glyph interface is gone.
Yes, you read that right. Nothing is moving away from the glowing LED pattern that made its phones instantly recognizable. This design change has caught many off guard, considering the Glyph lights had become a signature feature since the brand’s debut.
For those unfamiliar, the Glyph interface was more than just a flashy gimmick. It served practical purposes like visual notifications and caller IDs — and helped Nothing carve out its niche in a crowded Android market. Losing it could mean a fresh design philosophy… or a potential misstep. Hard to say for sure.
So, what else do we know about the Phone 3?
Not a whole lot yet, but a few leaks and official hints give us some direction. The phone is expected to come with a flagship-grade chipset, a battery larger than 5,000mAh, and a triple camera setup, likely including a periscope telephoto lens. It will be sold in India via Flipkart, as with previous models.
On the pricing front, Carl Pei previously suggested a ballpark figure of £800 (around ₹90,000) — a sharp jump from the Phone 2’s launch price of ₹44,999 for the base model back in 2022. Whether that higher price tag reflects a massive hardware leap or just brand ambition remains to be seen.
As is typical for Nothing, we can expect a few more teasers and drips of info in the lead-up to launch day. But one thing’s clear already — Nothing Phone 3 is shaping up to be different, for better or worse.
